Not bad, but not great
"The socks are okay, however, if the toe seam was about a quarter inch longer/wider they would feel better. The toe feels too tight, I like it loose down there due to neuropathy issues. Other than that, I like them."
These styles are designed to be flattering universally, we encourage you to reference the size chart to find your best fit.
The finished garment is washed in color, rather than dying the fabric prior to cutting and sewing. This results in subtle variations of color and a softer texture. Washed White is not garment-dyed.

Hemp is a naturally strong, durable fiber, which is why we use it to make clothing you'll wear for years. It's also a remarkable crop: in the right conditions, it grows with relatively little irrigation and fewer chemical inputs than cotton.
The facts:
Stronger fiber than cotton. In a peer-reviewed comparison, hemp fibers measured 310–850 MPa in tensile strength, compared with 287–597 MPa for cotton. [BioResources, NC State University]
Resists pilling and wear. In 2025 lab testing of woven bast-fiber fabrics, hemp earned the highest pilling-resistance rating of the fabrics tested, holding up across repeated wear cycles. [Fibres & Textiles in Eastern Europe, 2025]
Uses less water. Hemp uses about 38% less water than cotton over a growing season, and its water footprint is roughly 60% lower. [Journal of Agrometeorology, 2023; Journal of Cannabis Research, 2025]
Needs fewer pesticides than cotton. Cotton is one of the most pesticide-intensive US field crops, with 42 million pounds applied across 10.3 million acres in 2021. Hemp is typically grown with substantially less pesticide input. [USDA data via Organic Trade Association]
Captures carbon as it grows. Published estimates put hemp's CO₂ uptake at roughly 3–15 tonnes per hectare during cultivation. At the higher end, that outpaces the 2–6 tonnes per hectare per year typical of forests. [Portland State University review; University of Cambridge research]
Can help clean soil. Hemp roots can absorb low levels of heavy metals such as cadmium, lead, and zinc from soil. This process is called phytoremediation. [Portland State University review]
Facts refer to hemp fiber and cultivation. Many of our garments are hemp–organic cotton blends.

"The socks are okay, however, if the toe seam was about a quarter inch longer/wider they would feel better. The toe feels too tight, I like it loose down there due to neuropathy issues. Other than that, I like them."
"Great socks, the cotton hemp blend is really comfortable. I just wish they had shorter versions of the crew socks as these go all the way up my calf when pulled up."
"Very comfy, durable, and pairs with just about anything. I wear size 6. 5 to 7 US women's, and the socks are a little big for me. I wish Jungmaven made socks in at least two sizes because the one-size-fits-all approach means the heel of the sock doesn't match up for me."
"Kind of a bummer sadly. I love all the clothes I have from Jungmaven but the socks aren’t it. The material is soft and the color is cool but that’s about it. For a sock described as “crew” I expected something that would hit about mid-shin, but these are fully knee socks on me (5’7”, 128 lbs), and also SO TIGHT my flesh is being squished out the top."
"Great socks, very light weight feel. I hope they last as long as I think they will."
"Hemp socks are superior socks. Longer lasting and keep my feet cooler than other materials."
"These are great socks! They feel soft and comfortable. The knit has a sturdy but flexible feel. The color is adorable (got the pink) and I'm sure these will be work for years to come. Thank you!"
"Great for wearing boots in the hot summer. They perform similar to light weight wool in terms of moisture wicking, quick drying and helping manage smells"
"I wish I’d had these back on my last big hiking trip! They are so warm and comfy without feeling like poly sacks on your feet. Good moisture wicking and I love the color options."
"I really love the quality of the heathered hemp crew socks. They are great for everyday wear and they are really soft."
